In March over 80 members of our county, including some of our Young Leaders, joined together in a celebration of thanks.
Our members caught up with old friends and made new ones. They shared stories and exchanged advice all whilst enjoying a delicious afternoon tea provided by the Strathaven Hotel.
Of course there was recognition of service, 24 members with 5 years, 5 members with 10 years, 9 members with 20 years and our very own County President with 50 years service! Fantastic! (not all of these members could be with us on the day).
We presented our first Commonwealth Award for some time and there was a few special thanks to some members.
Everyone had a great time and looking forward to the next event.
Thank you to all our volunteers for the time you give doing all those tasks to provide our girls and young women such an amazing girlguiding adventure.
Girlguiding South Lanarkshire members meet across the county taking part in activities ranging from colouring to canoeing, games to grass sledging, swimming to sleepover and partying to pioneering!
